The Maestro Ronero Cubano is a figure rich in poetry.
Becoming Maestro Ronero is a tradition handed down orally from generation to generation. There are no universities or specialized schools where you can learn this art, the only way to become Maestro Ronero is to be born and have lived and died in Cuba.
Maestro Ronero is one of the four magical elements of the Cuban Ron.

Their way of producing Ron is unique because there is no school that teaches him: the aspirant learns it by living side by side with Maestro Ronero for years and gradually absorbing his culture, procedures, care and passion, until the day in which he is considered worthy to try his hand at the final test: the experimentation of a new type of Ron.
In history there are 28 Roneri Masters, or 28 people only who passed the crucial “exam” in the Cradle of Ron Ligero and each of these was born, had lived and died in Cuba.
To date, the Movement of the Masters Roneri is forming the 9th generation.

Don José Pablo Navarro
He was born on April 28, 1942 in Palma Soriano, Santiago de Cuba.
In 1971 he left his job as a teacher and began in the Ron sector, where from the earliest days he found a broad and preferential field to apply all the knowledge gathered during his years of studies. Since then, 40 years ago, he has been working on the making of the Ron Cubano.
For Primo Maestro Ronero, the title of Master of Ron Cubano constitutes “a synthesis of my entire working life and a condition that has allowed me to present and defend Ron Cubano in the world”.
He died in September 2020.
Don José Pablo Navarro

Juan Carlos Gonzáles Delgado
He was born in 1951 into a working-class family.
He graduated from the University of Havana in 1976 and in the same year he started working in the Ron factory in Santa Cruz. He has worked in Quality Control and Research in gas chromatography, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, sensory evaluation and technology and production of Ron and liqueur. He has the status of Master of Ron Cubano since 2003 and as such he performs in the Ron Factory in Santa Cruz.
He is the first master of Ron Cubano.
César Augusto Martí Marcelo
He was born on September the 8th ,1976 in the central region of Cuba in the municipality of Santo Domingo, in the province of Villa Clara.
After graduating in 2000, he began working in the Ron Central factory as a technologist. A year later he became an aspiring Maestro Ronero, where he developed the ability to identify and select raw and auxiliary materials in the Ron production process and introduce technological improvements.
In 2009 he was awarded the degree of Maestro Ronero Cubano by the top management of the Cuba Ron company.
